With a weekend of workshops and masterclasses for classical, electric and acoustic guitarists and performances by world class artists it offers a wide range of events for all tastes.

Group Description

This unique festival is an offering to all music lovers; here you will have the opportunity to attend concerts, participate in master classes, workshops, ensembles, and much more, in a relaxed atmosphere, set within the beautiful grounds of the University of Ulster Magee Campus. The festival provides for players and composers of all levels and ability, irrespective of age, and is renowned for the accessibility of its tutors and the informality of its learning environment. We have assembled for you an array of some of the top international performers of today. With their knowledge and experience they will help you discover and develop new skills over four days of truly intense guitar therapy. During your time at the City of Derry Guitar Festival you will meet and befriend a multitude of musicians and you will take away many valuable experiences from the course; but be sure of one thing, the knowledge that you will be exposed to, cannot be found in text books.
